The Burlington Quakers are hosting a showing of the documentary, "Citizen Jane: The Battle for the City", at Fletcher Free Library, Nov. 11, 1-4 pm. There will be a panel to lead a discussion of how the struggles over highway construction, "slum clearance", and densification that marked Manhattan in the 1970s relate to Burlington today. Panelists include Steve Goodkind, former head of Burlington's DPW, Diane Gayer, landscape architect and ecologist, with moderator Charles Simpson. Along with plenty of time for audience participation, there will be light refreshments. All are invited!
