Newport Parks & Recreation presents another fascinating part of WinterFest...
The Guy Fortin Memorial Co-ed Broomball Tournament!

Date: Saturday, Feb. 1
Time: 10am
Location: Gardner Memorial Park, Newport
Cost: $10 per person to benefit a cause to be determined by Guy Fortin's family

Gather friends or put a team of co-workers together for a hilarious day on ice! Rally your own team, or we'll find one for you!
Broomball is similar to hockey, but no skates or skills required! Players wear their own sneakers or boots in a 6v6 (including a goalie) style game using sawed off brooms or actual broomball sticks (if you want to get professional about it). Games consist of two 15-minute halves with t-shirts, a trophy and bragging rights to be won by the top team!

No experience or athletic ability required - in fact we're all pretty bad since we're running around on ice.

Helmets required, but we'll provide all the game equipment. (Heck we even have helmets to loan out if you need one.)

Participants must be 18+
