Hello community

We have two special classes coming up and wanted to share a little bit more about them

* JAM JAM: Nov 10-12
The Jam Jams are our co-created social laboratory of embodied cultural possibility. Practice listening to yourself within community. What do you want to explore and learn? Where are your growth edges? What is possible when a committed group of people come together to improvise and connect for a weekend?

Join us for a co-creative experience at the beautiful Dharma Door in Underhill VT. We will cook together, be nourished and co-create community.

Abbi and Amanda will offer activities based in embodiment practices, contact improvisation, authentic movement, the work of Joanna Macy (The Work that Reconnects), and in connection to nature. Half way through the weekend, participants will decide the direction of the weekend and will propose, offer, and lead classes and experiences and will gain experience facilitating.

These events are incredibly rich. In the past the topics explored based on the group's interest have included explorations/conversations of healthy listening skills, how we adapt in the face of the environmental implications of our time, learning about how to embody consent, exploring how we speak truth, uncovering and conceptualizing gender dynamics and class and other privilege, discovering what is deeply nourishing, looking into how we connect as humans and animals to each other and our environments, re-shaping our relationship to touch and more.

This is exquisite and we can go deep together and individually. Limited to 8-10 participants.

Begins Friday at 6pm. Ends on Sunday at 3pm.
Commitment to the whole weekend is necessary.

Meals are co-created in teams once folks are registered.

* CPR (Community Practices of Resilience) with Hazel Turrone: Nov 20

Every month The Everything Space hosts Community Practices of Resilience (CPR) featuring skills and experiences that support resilient infrastructure: for the individual, for our relationships, for our institutions.

Our intention for CPR is to come together, share food, learn, unlearn, and build skills from all area's of community, in ways that include and cultivate the intelligence of our bodies.

This Month, Hazel brings us Nourishing Touch.
POTLUCK 5:30-6:15pm, Bring a potluck dish to share and your own plate and utensils.

We will be exploring the nourishing presence of consented touch as a way to support our sense of grounding and well-being and as a tool for de-escalating stress.

We will have an opportunity to engage in some simple, guided practices focused on arriving in the present moment, dropping in deeper within ourselves and in relation to others, and gifting ourselves the time to soak in the nourishment of touch.

The over-abundance of visual input and information in our world tends to keep us up in our heads and not as connected to our other senses and our bodies. There will be opportunities to take a break from our dominant sense of vision and work with other senses in the context of giving and receiving touch.

Touch is a basic need and when fulfilled we are nourished deeply - with profound affects to our nervous system which in turn benefits our immune system and emotional body.

I believe we are more resilient when our needs are met. Touch is a basic need. Sharing touch also contributes to filling the needs for connection, presence, and support.

Adults require human touch to thrive. Keltner says, "In recent years, a wave of studies has documented some incredible emotional and physical health benefits that come from touch. This research is suggesting that touch is truly fundamental tohuman communication, bonding, and health."
