The Burlington Choral Society is getting ready to present "Alexander's Feast", G.F. Handel's rarely performed musical banquet celebrating Alexander the Great. Richard Riley will lead our 80 voice chorus, soloists and orchestra on Saturday, November 18 at 7:30 PM at the College Street Congregational Church, 265 College Street, Burlington, VT.Alexander's Feast traces the Greek emperor's moods from triumphant to amorous to melancholy to murderous. The work ends with gorgeous movements celebrating Saint Cecilia, patron of musicians.Soloists will be Allison Devery, soprano; Gene Stenger, tenor; and George Cordes, bass.
