Workshop on Extreme Weather – Wednesday November 8th

Have you been talking about the weather a lot lately … wondering why leaves are turning colors late, why some of us have been swimming in the lake in October, why there was no rain in August? Join us on Wednesday November 8th at the Grand Isle School library at 7:00 pm to learn what might be causing extreme weather.

Jenn Wood, a Climate Reality leader trained by former Vice President Al Gore, will be facilitating the workshop. She will be teaching us the skills and resources to be able to communicate the issue as well as solutions to a range of audiences. Time will be spent discussing and brainstorming how to look at this topic from a variety of perspectives as well as how to have more constructive and solution oriented conversations around this subject matter.

In addition to the Chicago 2013 climate conference, Ms Wood has served as a mentor at five other trainings and also volunteered for Climate Reality at COP21 in Paris. She has had the honor of speaking on a panel with Mr. Gore talking about how and why she takes fervent action on climate in an effort to inspire others to do the same.
