“In the spotlight by herself, Trautz reveals nuance and depth.  She approaches singing the way she does the fiddle: with a subdued directness, creating a sound that’s beautiful in its simplicity.” –Dan Bolles, Seven Days Review

Lee Blackwell, drummer and guitarist, was introduced to Cajun Music in the 1980’s by his old friend Tracy Schwarz, who played in legendary New York City folk outfit the New Lost City Ramblers. Along with Schwarz, Blackwell found himself playing with the late great Dewey Balfa of Louisiana when he toured in the Northeast. Blackwell and Schwarz also played together in the Tracy Schwarz Cajun trio, which cut two award-winning records and brought the music to the UK over eight annual tours.

Cannon Labrie plays accordion for Yankee Chank, a band which has been performing traditional dance music from Southwest Louisiana at weddings, festivals, community gatherings, and nightclubs since the 1990’s. Drawn together by a passion for traditional Cajun and Zydeco music, the group has learned from and performed with many of the most influential Cajun musicians in Louisiana, including, Dewey Balfa, Marc & Ann Savoy, BeauSoleil, and others.
