Introductory Meditation Courses beginning in January
The Burlington Shambhala Center is offering two introductory meditation courses beginning in early January. Meditation in Everyday Life is being offered during daytime hours, on Tuesdays, 11 am --1 pm from Jan 7th—Feb 11th. This course provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation and addresses the complexity of our daily lives in order to develop courage and sanity in these challenging and uncertain times.
Contentment in Everyday Life is being offered on Tuesdays, 7 -- 9 pm from Jan 7th—28th (plus Saturday, Jan 25, 9 am - 1 pm). This course trains us to develop gentleness, precision, appreciation, and steadiness. Practicing these qualities leads to contentment, which helps us extend our mindfulness practice into everyday awake action.
Both courses are open to beginners and include meditation instruction and practice, talks on the Shambhala teachings, group discussions and dialogue. The Burlington Shambhala Center is located at 187 South Winooski Ave, Burlington. Contact Tracy Suchocki tracy@cpro.cc with questions or call (802)658-6795.
