Clara Martin Center Hosts Me2/ Orchestra at Chandler Music Hall
Clara Martin Center will host the fabulous Me2/ Orchestra on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 6:00pm at the Chandler Music Hall as the finale to the agency’s Celebrating Creativity in Mental Health, Wellness and Recovery event.
Founded in Burlington, Vermont, the Me2/Orchestra is the only classical music organization in the world for musicians with mental illnesses and those who support them. Led by a once world-renowned conductor whose own career was shattered by his diagnosis of bipolar disorder, the Me2/Orchestra’s exhilarating performances challenge societal stereotypes about mental illness.
Before the orchestra performance, the public is invited to view the art and writing show entitled “From Green to Fall: Celebrating Creativity in Mental Health, Wellness and Recovery” at the Chandler Art Gallery. The show features over 75 pieces of work from 40 local artists who are friends of mental health.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and can be purchased by calling 728-6464, or go to chandler-arts.org.
This performance is made possible by generous sponsorship from the Kinney Drugs Foundation, Randolph Rotary, The Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation, VT Digger, Vermont HITEC, the Frankenburg Agency, Lake Sunapee Bank, Mascoma Savings Bank and Beacon Printing.
Clara Martin Center is a local non-profit organization, providing mental health and substance abuse services to Orange County and greater Upper Valley communities.
