Dear Neighbors,
This coming Monday, the City Council will meet starting at 6 p.m. in Contois Auditorium. We will start with a worksession to discuss ongoing negotiations with UVM and Champlain College on the City’s Capital Infrastructure Plan. The worksession is expected to be in executive session since the negotiations are not completed.
Following the worksession, we will have a brief Local Control Commission meeting at 7:15pm.
We have only one item on our deliberative agenda - the selection of a buyer for Burlington Telecom. Final letters of intent were submitted by Keep Burlington Telecom Local and Ting/Tucows this past Wednesday and can be located at the City’s website at https://www.burlingtontelecom.com. There is a direct link to the final letters of intent as well as sale background information, including legal documents, a summary of the offers and legal and financial opinions from independent counsel and consultants.
