DAY OF THE MORGAN DAY OF THE MORGAN October 28 th 2017
UVM Morgan Horse Farm
In recognition of the importance of the Morgan Horse to the State of Vermont, and in conjunction with a nationwide
Morgan horse promotional event, Vermont Governor Phillip Scott has signed a proclamation stating that October 28, 2017 will be the official Day of the Morgan in the State of Vermont.
On behalf of the Governor, the Vermont Secretary of Agriculture, Food & Markets, Anson Tebbetts
will present the Governor's proclamation on Saturday the 28th of October at the University of Vermont Morgan Horse
Farm.
Please join us at 1 pm for the presentation, with donuts and cider from Champlain Orchards to follow.
The UVM Morgan Horse Farm will be open from 9am - 4pm with guided tours running on the hour, (with the exception of 1 pm).
Special showings of THE FIGHTING BREED, a half hour documentary about the Morgan horse and the Civil War, will be at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm.

A map highlighting other participating Morgan horse Farms will be available for guests, as well as various Morgan Horse promotional materials.
