Announcing the 2nd Annual ACORN Producers and Buyers Forum: a unique event for Vermont and the region!
All growers, food producers, buyers and distributors are invited to attend the Producers and Buyers Forum: Local to Global. Hosted by ACORN, the Forum is November 2nd at Middlebury College's Wilson Hall in the McCullough Student Center. The Forum will include a Keynote by Greg Georgaklis of Farmers to You, round table discussions on emerging local food markets, the Amazon effect, ingredient and distribution trends and future opportunities, breakout sessions with plenty of time for networking and pitching your products or services.
Panelists include Jonathan Slason of RFP Logistics with key insights on moving product around the region, Kathleen Norris of Homestead Hops and the emerging craft hop market, Gemma DiPalma of Five Acres Farm with insights on retail outlets, Ben Maniscalco of Benito's Hot Sauce shares best practices for growing your food business, Dan Chang of Kria talks about hemp and emerging CBD products, Rose Wilson on market pressures of grass fed meat, among other notable speakers covering a range of topics in local food production, marketing and distribution.
The Forum is a great opportunity to develop new relationships and stimulate new business. Value-added producers seek locally sourced inggredients, distributors and buyers are looking for new trends. Executive Director Lynn Coale, puts it this way “As we strive to increase the use of local foods, our efforts are enhanced when we bring buyers and producers together.” Join us for engaging conversations on the state of local and regional markets. Space is very limited; all food category producers and interested consumers are welcome.
