CONFERENCE: “FROM EXPENSIVE TO AFFORDABLE: VERMONT’S HEALTH CARE FUTURE”. Sponsored by the VT Alliance for Retired Americans. Saturday, October 28, 2017, (9:00am-2:00pm), at Montpelier Senior Activity Center, 58 Barre St.
Feeling confused and concerned about what’s happening with health care? No matter what your age, you are invited to join in and learn from “Dr. Deb” Richter, M.D. and Paul Cillo President, Vermont Public Assets Institute, about two bills in Vermont’s Legislature (H 248, and S 53) calling for “Universal Publicly Financed Primary Care for All Vermonters”. A panel of community collaborators will share their experiences. The working lunch will provide resources for individuals and groups to support universal health care for all Vermonters. The conference will close with a fascinating film describing how Canada’s single payer health care system evolved.
Conference Registration, including coffee/refreshments and materials, is $15 ($20 for 2); Lunch is $10 per person. For Information call Brenda L. (454-8559), or Jane O. (229-0850), annajaneo@aol.com.
