Vermont Aikido will hold an open house on Sunday, October 29, 11-1 at 274 North Winooski Ave. Burlington. Aikido is a Japanese martial art that is available to all - young and old, athletic or not. It is unique among the martial arts in that it emphasizes circular, flowing movements that blend with an attacker's energy to neutralize the attack while protecting the safety of all involved (including the attacker). It does not teach kicks and punches, and does not rely on physical strength. The open house is an opportunity to learn more about aikido and how it is taught and practiced at Vermont Aikido. Drop in at any time between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a free demonstration. The dojo entrance is around the side of the building, and there is plenty of parking; we look forward to meeting you!
