Daddy Long Legs Weaves Folk, Celtic, and Jazz into a Memorable Evening at Tinmouth’s Old Firehouse

Daddy Long Legs is an exciting new Vermont band that will be at Tinmouth’s Old Firehouse at 7:30 PM on Saturday, October 28, a change from our usual Friday nights. The band is the creation of three well known Vermont musicians, Dave Gusakov, Rick Ceballos, and Matt Witten. Their talents fuse to form a dynamic and highly original trad folk trio. Infusing catchy folk songs, Celtic and “old-timey” melodies, and early minstrel and jazz pieces with passion and intricacy, Daddy Long Legs is playful and dynamic. The three musicians play fiddle, viola, banjo, gourd banjo, piano, guitar, and percussion, as well as sing. Daddy Longlegs creates vibrant, sensitive and surprising 21st-century folk music.

The Old Firehouse is at Mountain View Road and Vt. 140 in downtown Tinmouth, between the current firehouse and the Town Office building. Doors will open at 7 PM; concert at 7:30. There is a suggested donation of $10 to $15, 90% of which goes to the performers. Home made desserts, coffee and tea will be available. Donations for them will help support community activities.
