Joseph Citro, noted New England folklorist and author, will be the featured presenter at the Waterbury Historical Society’s fall program on October 25, 2017, at 7 p.m. at St. Leo’s Hall in Waterbury (109 S. Main Street).
Citro is an award-winning writer and the undisputed expert on weird Vermont lore and myriad New England oddities. In over a dozen publications — novels and nonfiction— he has guided readers through a dark, sometimes disturbing, and often sinister landscapes traditionally portrayed with sunny skies above quaint villages. For more than 20 years he also told his stories in a much-loved public radio commentary series.
The Stagecoach Inn and St. Andrew Church are co-sponsors of this program, which is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
The Waterbury Historical Society is a non-profit community organization that collects, researches, documents, preserves, and exhibits artifacts related to the history—distant and recent—of Waterbury, Vermont.
