Community Cider Pressing Day at Whetstone CiderWorks/ Jason and Lauren's House:
Sunday, October 29, 10am-4pm
Do you have a tree loaded with apples this year? Can't resist a few bushels of delicious apples from your local orchard? Is foraging for weird, wild apples your thing? That's cool, but what are you going to do with all of those apples?
Bring your own apples (3 bushel minimum) and we'll press them for you in our newly rebuilt vintage Mt. Gilead press.
The cost is $2/gallon of juice. (Expect approximately 2-3 gallons of juice/bushel, but this really varies with the kind of apple!)
Important: Bring your own containers for juice (carboys, barrels, buckets with lids, gallon jugs). Make sure you bring some extra, just in case your apples are extra-juicy.
Email me (laurenbmac@gmail.com) to reserve your approximate time for pressing and the approximate # of bushels you'll be bringing. If you just show up, we'll fit you in where we can!
We'd love to have you hang out, enjoy some snacks and celebrate fall with us, even if you don't have any apples and just want to hang out and watch the press in action!
Hope to see you there!
