I want to THANK all of you who have over the last 7 years supported the Maple Valley Cafe's ongoing Haitian Art Sale ! Since we have new owners and now mostly local art displayed (except in the bathrooms..the last "refuge" !)...I am offering original,colorful and heart-warming Haitian Paintings for Fundraising purposes (100% of the profit gets immediately,directly to the artist collaborative "L'Alternatif"...7 local artists who teach daily local streetkids,feed and support their school attendance too..all for free.
YOUR art-purchase here (or donation) will let them buy art -supplies,food and some badly needed school supplies for these kids.
School is for free,but the uniform,shoes,pencils,paper,books and transportation as well as their lunch, have to be paid for by a parent or other.That's why so many kids aren't able to go.
PLEASE,check out this art-sale,consider an exotic painting as a treat for yourself,or a gift for someone dear to you during all these 'white' months here,and enjoy the health benefits for you (deep satisfaction and connection!) and the receiving kids and artist families when you keep supporting their survival and development into a new generation of artists!
