As you make plans to change your tires, please hold onto those tires until the last week of October (Thursday, October 26th and Friday, October 27th) and donate them to the 13th annual Wheels for Warmth. Four drop-off locations: Montpelier, Stowe, Williston, and Mendon.
By doing this simple thing, you help Vermont and Vermonters in three important ways:
1. Support emergency fuel assistance for Vermont families in need;
2. Provide DMV-inspected, affordable tires ($30 and less) to Vermonters in need;
3. Recycle unwanted tires, reducing the number in our rivers and along our roadways.
Since 2005, Wheels for Warmth has raised more than $300,000 for emergency fuel assistance, sold nearly 15,000 safe donated tires, and recycled more than 25,000 unsafe tires.
