Healthcare Forum to be Held in Hardwick, October 18th Healthcare in the Kingdom, a community forum, will be held on Oct. 18th at 7 PM at the Hazen Union High School. Healthcare changes being debated in Washington and Montpelier could have a major impact on residents of the Northeast Kingdom. Some changes may be welcome, others may be difficult.
At the forum, a panel of local players involved in providing and funding healthcare in our community will offer their perspectives and take questions on the current status of our healthcare system and what we might expect from the various options now being discussed.
Panelists include Jane Kitchel, Caledonia Vermont State Senator; Chip Troiano, Caledonia 2 Vermont House Representative; Dr. Sarah Morgan, Hardwick Area Health Center; Lucy Leriche, Vice President of Public Policy for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England; and Patrick Flood, Past Director of Northern Counties Health Care. Tim Nisbet of Greensboro will be the forum moderator.
The forum is sponsored by the Greater Hardwick Area Community Forum Committee, NEK Council on Aging, the Hardwick Area Food Pantry, and St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church.
