Sha’an Mouliert discusses how micro-aggressions affect people of color in Vermont: “Living in One of the Whitest States”
“How often have we heard ‘I’m not racist’ or ‘I have black friends’? Up until the last couple of years you’d hear ‘We have made so much progress, I don’t think racism is a problem anymore.’ This workshop will offer an opportunity to analyze and deconstruct some of the challenges facing people of color living in Vermont. Participants will engage in popular education activities intended to encourage and support the building of ongoing developmental capacities and skills needed to adequately address the issues.”
