Join Preservation Burlington and the Friends of Lakeview Cemetery for a guided walk through this beautiful cemetery and visit with living history reenactors along the way! The Friends of Lakeview Cemetery will also host an Open House at the Louisa Howard Chapel as part of the event. The youngest of Burlington's municipal cemeteries, Lakeview Cemetery was established in 1867 and is the resting place for many notable Burlington residents. Part of the rural cemetery movement of the mid-19th century, Lakeview offers picturesque views of Lake Champlain, diverse plantings and meandering paths, along with beautiful monuments.
