Prize-winning Vermont filmmaker Nora Jacobson is the featured speaker at the Guilford Historical Society annual meeting on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2:00 PM at the Guilford Grange, in Guilford Center. Jacobson will discuss her latest project, A Peculiar Freedom, a TV series about people of color in New England during the Colonial and Civil War period. Jacobson’s talk will focus on the story of 19th century Guilford resident, Lucy Terry Prince, an outspoken settler and poet, and the wife of Abijah Prince. This event will be preceded by a brief business meeting. Refreshments will follow.
