LAND LISTENERS WORKSHOP with Cheryl and Marc Cesario of Meeting Place Pastures on October 19, 2017 near Cornwall, Vermont. How does the carbon cycle relate to water cycling, human health, and even climate? Can we grow a shared intelligence on soil health and watershed function, and learn to manage carbon and water cycling?
Peter Donovan, founder of the Soil Carbon Challenge, will coach participants in making repeatable observations such as water infiltration, soil cover, and dynamic soil properties, and recording these observations and more on an open-framework web app. Farmers, agricultural service providers, and citizens can learn how to observe and measure the circle of life--the most powerful geologic force--in specific, local contexts.
Workshop will be 9 am to 4 pm, Thursday October 19. Please RSVP to Peter Donovan, info@soilcarboncoalition.org. Bring your own lunch, and suggested donation is $8. Meet at 1683 West St. Cornwall, VT 05753
