A variety of citizens have requested the Selectboard create a Vacant Building Ordinance to prevent safety hazards caused by vacant and uncared for buildings around town. The Selectboard, reviewing similar ordinances from other towns around the state, has drafted a proposed ordinance but wants input from citizens. The town will hold two hearings, one Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7pm, and the other Saturday, Oct. 14 at 10 am. Both will be held at the Public Safety Building conference room.
