Bhakti Yoga Workshop with Prem Prakash Oct. 21

Past event
Oct 21, 2017, 10 AM to 3:30 PM

Prem Prakash is recognized by the Institute of the Himalayan Tradition as a “Yogi Raj,” a Master of Yoga and was given permission by Baba Hari Dass to teach others in 1990.

“Yoga is a precise science, a technology of changing consciousness requiring intuition, creativity and passion.” In this workshop we will explore the science and art of yoga and how practicing both aspects opens one to a world of wonder, healing and spiritual development.

Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion and love, is one of the main branches of yoga yet little known and appreciated in the west. Prem will offer a sensitive introduction to the devotional path in this workshop and students will include presentations in philosophy to enable one to appreciate the yogic paradigm of peace as well as helping one to develop an ongoing yoga and meditation practice. A traditional Ashtanga yoga class will be included as well as a Kirtan – song and music performed to heighten the spiritual awakening – and a vegetarian lunch.
