When: Saturday, October 14th, 9:00 – 10:30, optional 1/2 hr add-on to 300-year old oak tree.

Where: MALT's TAM section on the Middlebury College Golf Course periphery

What: Ever wonder why the fall foliage in Vermont is so spectacular? This is your chance to learn the answers from Tim Parsons, an expert Vermont Certified Horticulturalist, who is also an Arborist certified by the International Society of Arboriculture.

Information on hike leader, Tim Parsons: Tim has been the Landscape Horticulturist at Middlebury College, with its 300-plus acres, since 2006. He takes care of the College’s urban forest, designs and installs the College’s landscapes, and insures sustainable management of the College’s turf fields. Tim has been in the green industry for over 25 years, running a garden center and his own landscape design/build company, and has also been a caretaker for a large estate.
