Ski Film Festival Oct. 14 - CVU Alpine Team Benefit

Past event
Oct 14, 2017, 6 to 9 PM

The CVU Alpine Ski Team, is putting on a really fun event called, “Eight Shorties”: A Ski Film Festival. It’s on Saturday, October 14th, and we have rented The Film Room at Main Street Landing (60 Lake Street, Burlington, Vermont). The place is awesome, right on the Waterfront Park. Doors open at 6:00, Ski Films start at 7:00, and we will be done by 9:00PM.

We will have food and beverages, ice cream, raffle prizes and some freebies, as well as a Silent Auction. It’s going to be a lot of fun. We have eight ski films that we are showing, that are really cool, from ripping deep powder and pillow drops, to charging steeps and heli-skiing, World Cup Ski Racing Downhillers (including Doug Lewis, Sasha Rearick, and A.J. Kitt, all who have ties to the Mad River Valley), stories of perseverance, stories of passion, and a unique look at the early days of skiing in a far away land.

The place holds 220, and tickets are going to be going fast, so if you want to join the fun, e-mail me (mattricher@yahoo.com), find one of my kids (2 on the team this year!), or find any member of the CVU Alpine Team and they will be glad to set you up! You can also reply to this post and I will be sure to pass it along.

Tickets are $12.00, and there will be freebies (did I mention there will be free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream?). To get you stoked for winter (hard to think about when it’s been so warm), here is a movie trailer link on youtube (Search “CVU Ski Film Festival” or use this direct link: https://youtu.be/m1YABRdmLf8).

This will be a fun event for avid skiers and arm-chair adventurers alike. Don't delay, get your tickets today!
