The Friends of Waterbury Reservoir will host their Annual Meeting Thursday, October 19 at 7 pm in St. Leo’s Hall , 109 South Main Street, in Waterbury. The public is invited to arrive at 6:30 to socialize. Snacks will be available.
Biologist and wildlife photographer Tom Rogers will present a talk and stunning photographs entitled “The Wildlife of Waterbury Reservoir and Beyond, Bears, Moose, Loons and Trout.”
Tom Rogers has worked on a variety of conservation projects, from zebras in Kenya to sage grouse and bald eagles in Wyoming. His graduate research focused on large carnivores such as grizzly bears and black bears in the Yellowstone Ecosystem. Tom currently works in outreach for the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department, connecting the public with fish and wildlife through writing and photography.
A member of Vermont Parks and Recreation is invited to discuss the
2017 season as part of an open discussion which will close the evening.
