Searching for the Frogs, Toads, Turtles, Salamanders and Snakes of Lamoille County
Using slides and stories, Jim Andrews will discuss the natural history, identification, and conservation of the reptiles and amphibians that have been found (and those that should be found) in Lamoille County. He hopes to encourage residents to find, photograph, and report the species that have not been documented from our area. He will tell us about the Vermont Reptile and Amphibian project (which he heads) and about where these fascinating creatures live, what they eat, how they find mates and how they survive winters.
Jim is a great speaker, and has been called Vermont’s number one Snake Man and an amphibian evangelist for his work in locating and protecting the herps of Vermont.
Don’t miss this exciting program! Free and open to the public.
