To expand on this listing that appeared today on FPF. Jim Thomson was my college roommate and we have been friends for nearly 50 years. Apart from his immense talent, he is a very engaging, likable, and charismatic guy, and the poster child for persistence in following one's dream. Although Lies You Wanted to Hear is his "debut" novel, he has written three other novels, a book of short stories, and a memoir, all of which were rejected by dozens of publishers over the past 20 years. I'm hoping he will be welcomed warmly at this event, his first public appearance in Vermont.
