Come learn all about BEAVERS on a moderate hike to a serene series of beaver ponds, led by Fish and Wildlife biologist Kim Royar, Saturday October 7th 9:00 – 12:30. (Rain date – Sunday noon) Kim has worked for F&W for 36 years in a variety of roles including the conservation/ management of species such as beaver, otter, bobcat, and coyotes. She has wonderful stories of the history of beavers in our area and knowledge of their habits and needs. She comes loaded with pelts of fur bearers to identify and inspect. Meet before 9:00 am at the Town Office on the Cold River Road for car pooling to the Tin Shanty parking area nearby.
