Grace Cottage partners with the West River Community Project to offer a series of healthy cooking classes. The October 11th class is titled “Summer in a Jar — An Introduction to Food Preservation”. It will be led by Chris Matthson, Chef and Manager of the West River Community Project and West Townshend Country Store.

Class description: Savor the flavor of the season, save money and eat healthier without additives. Discover the techniques and equipment you’ll need as our chef and other community members guide you through how easy it is to preserve your own fresh produce, sauces, condiments and jams. Chris will make a batch of salsa fresh from the garden to use as a demonstration, and everyone will go home with a jar!
