The Vermont Community Garden Network is holding a webinar on season extension techniques Oct. 11. This Grow It! webinar is designed for community and school gardeners, and will also be useful for home gardeners, homesteaders, and small-scale farmers. We will cover season extension techniques and on-the-ground examples of how to manage them in community and school garden settings. The presenters are:
- Charlie Nardozzi, who will speak about in-the-garden season extension techniques;
- Bethany Dunbar from Center for an Agricultural Economy, who will share about the development and management of Hardwick Community Garden’s community hoop house;
- Phyllis and Olivia from Change the World Kids, who will share their learnings about building and managing a root cellar in Woodstock.
The webinar is 5-6:15pm on Wednesday, Oct. 11. You can watch from the comfort of your own home or office or join a Viewing Party from 4:30-7pm. The parties include webinar viewing, networking and discussion with others involved with community and school gardens. Sign up for the Viewing Party of your choice through our online registration.
