An evening of jazz with the Ira Friedman Trio will close out the Calais Fall Foliage Festival on Sunday, October 8 at 7:30 at the Adamant Community Club. Pianist Ira Friedman has been at the forefront of Vermont’s jazz scene for many years, both as a performer and as an educator. He currently plays in several ensembles, including the Dave Keller Band, but this trio, featuring Micah Carbonneau on bass and Caleb Bronz on drums, has been playing together for 15 years. Ira says, “This trio plays original music inspired by Latin, African, jazz, funk and soul. They walk the tightrope featuring group exploration without ever losing the groove.”The Adamant Community Club is located at 1161 Martin Road, just across from the Adamant Methodist Church.
