In response to discussion at last year's town meeting, and following the report of the Townshend Governance Study Committee, a meeting has been scheduled with a representative of the Vermont League of Cities and Towns to help the citizens of Townshend decide how best to move forward toward a more effective and efficient form of town governance. The meeting will provide a chance to ask questions and understand the issues involved, including the differences between hiring a town administrator and moving to a Town Manager form of governance.
