Shelburne Vineyard's winter art exhibit features local artist, Lin Warren, who teaches and creates her art at Pond Road Studios. The exhibit, entitled “Selections from the Barns,” will run through February 28, 2014 and Warren will be on hand for an Artist’s Reception at the Vineyard's Tasting Room this Sunday, December 8, 2013, from 2-4 pm when there will be light refreshments, wine tasting and wine by the glass available for sale.

Lin, who has previously exhibited at Main St. Landing in Burlington, at the Brooklyn Museum in NY, and at locations throughout the east coast and as far afield as California, has achieved many awards for her work and has pieces that grace permanent private and corporate collections throughout the country as well. The Vineyard exhibit features many of her large abstract Acrylic/Oil works on canvas as well as several smaller constructions she has crafted and shaped from wood veneers highlighted with a palette of rich color, metallic luster and neutral black, grays and browns. The works are striking, using textural form and reflective surfaces to define rigorous contrasts. Using the arc as a main focus, she uses movement of material, the artist’s mark, printmaking and vibrant color to create works that are deliberate, surprising and energetic.
