Celebrate Community Artists at Grange This Sunday!

The Grange Hall Cultural Center is delighted to present:

“Fabric Of Our Lives: An exhibition of textile art that addresses the weaving of elements that constitute the character of our communities"
September 27-November 21.

Join us at the opening reception on Sunday, October 1, 3-5pm,
Also: Join us before hand at 2pm for a Community Weaving Project lead by Crispina ffrench, exhibiting work in the show.

The exhibition is installed in the upstairs Hall at the Grange Hall Cultural Center, 317 Howard Avenue, Waterbury Center, VT.

Admission is free and open to the public, with viewing hours Saturday mornings from 10am-12 throughout the run of the exhibit and also by appointment by emailing: grangehallcc@gmail.com.

Curated by Monica Callan, work is from artists with connections to our region, each interpreting their work within the theme. Featured are: Mary Admasian, Jeb Bouchard, Janie Cohen, Elizabeth Fram, Crispina ffrench, Jan Gendreau, Lisa Intrator, Emily Waters Jennings, Marianne Kotch, Nikki Matthison, Leslie Roth, and Sam Talbot-Kelly.

Additional programming throughout the exhibit includes an ongoing community weaving project (All invited to contribute to the weaving!) ; a weekly stitching circle Tuesdays 7-9pm: a discussion on preserving the tradition of weaving of the indigenous culture of Peru Wednesday Oct 4 @ 7:30pm; and a mixed-fiber amulet workshop November 4 with Leslie Roth, also an exhibiting artist.
