Woodbury Golf Course's 3rd annual cancer treatment golf tournament is this Saturday!
This year’s tournament is dedicated to Mason Wedge. Mason is a 5-year-old who has recently been diagnosed with DKC (Dyskeratosis Congenita) which is a rare disorder that causes pulmonary problems and Leukoplakia which is Leukemia. Mason will need a bone marrow transplant, blood transfusions, and possibly stem cell treatments. He has a very long road ahead of him with hospital stays, both local and at the Boston Children’s Hospital, treatments and such.
Mason’s problems go a little further than most…His dad recently passed away, devastating the family, leaving Mason’s care to his mom, grandmother and rest of the family.
