Gardening can be year-round activity, even in Vermont! This one-day
event is for anyone interested in learning more about how to garden,
compost, and successfully grow houseplants in the “off season”. Find out
what you can do now to prepare your garden for next year.
The expert presenters include:
· Ann Hazelrigg, PHD, Plant Pathologist-UVM Plant and Soil science
· Cassandra Hemenway, Outreach Coordinator-Central Vermont Solid
Waste Management District
· Will Creed, well-known author on indoor houseplants
· Mike Ather, local expert on composting and growing food indoors
Will Creed will be available to help individuals with their indoor plant
care problems during the day. If your plant is reasonably transportable
-- bring it along for Will to check it out and give you expert advice.
If it can't be transported safely (it will be colder in October), bring
photos of the plant in question.
Lunch is included in the fee, provided by the Hunger Mountain Coop.
