A growing number of people have gotten the 'Farming Bug'; it usually starts with a garden, then a few chickens, then perhaps a goat or two, maybe a pig ... and ultimately you find yourself wishing you could have you own source of fresh milk that you could harvest from your own cow. If this sounds familiar to you then please join us for our next Family Cow Workshop.
This class will help you navigate the new and exciting world of owning and caring for your family cow & calf. This may also be an entry point for you to get into selling raw milk from the farm, or having a beef cow (as a result of the occasional bull calf that you will have). A handout will provide you with basic need-to-know information, plus a listing of useful books, and businesses that can supply you with the feed, nutritional supplies and other items that you will want to have in your First-Aid Kit.
Class participants will have an opportunity for some hands-on learning, and you will be able to take home some wonderful product samples donated by Agri-Dynamics and Crystal Creek Natural, plus a Door Prize Gift Certificate from Bob-White Systems.
Cost: $45 per person, $80 for 2 people
