Karen Richards, the Executive Director of the Vermont Human Rights Commission will speak on immigration, refugees, and housing issues at Newfane's Open & Accepting Town Committee meeting on Monday, September 25, 6 pm. (Newfane Town Office, 555 VT-30).

According to their website: "The Vermont Human Rights Commission has jurisdiction over allegations of unlawful discrimination in housing, places of public accommodation and State employment. Places of public accommodation include schools, restaurants, stores, professional offices, government agencies and other places offering goods or services to the general public."
