Making Time for Memoir in the Museum
Join us within the Refuge exhibit at the Kent Museum, Calais, for a special Saturday event, September 30th, as we welcome Vermont memoirists Eve O. Schaub, and Caroline Zeilenga. These writers reveal how the act of documenting the story of your own experience makes ordinary life its own refuge. Linger after the readings for snacks and a Q & A conversation about the world of memoir writing.
Caroline Zeilenga grew up in Calais and has recently returned to the area after finishing her masters in writing. She is currently working on a survival memoir about her life in a tiny deep woods yurt with her husband and dog.
Eve O. Schaub, author of Year of No Sugar and Year of No Clutter, enjoys performing experiments on her family so she can write about it. At various times she has been a newspaper reporter, magazine columnist, and copy writer. She likes to say that she has written for everything but the classifieds section, but in truth she did that too. She enjoys writing about herself in the third person.
