Rosh Hashana Services at Beth Jacob Synagogue

This evening - Sep 20th - marks the beginning of Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year.
Here is the schedule of Services (no tickets necessary)
Wednesday, 9/20, 7:00 p.m. - Erev Rosh Hashana - Followed by oneg hosted by the Synagogue's Board of Directors.
Thursday, 9/21, 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - First Day Morning Service - Followed by kiddush and oneg.
Thursday, 9/21, 4:00 p.m. - Tashlich - at the Montpelier Recreation Field, Elm Street - gathering at the North Branch River to toss breadcrumbs into the water and reflect on the themes of the holiday
Thursday, 9/21, 5:30 p.m. - Secular/Humanistic Service - A celebration of Jewish culture, values, traditions, and identity with a focuses on life, earth, and humanity. This is a participatory service in English with music concluding with an oneg.

Second Day Rosh Hashana
Friday, 9/22, 9:00 a.m. - Morning service that will be more traditional -- in both style and substance -- than the first day.

Children are welcome!
Children's services will take place in a tent outside the synagogue.
Rosh Hashana children's service, Thu 9/21 - 11 a.m. - noon with snack
Yom Kippur children's service, Sat 9/30 - 10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. (then children will join the congregation in the synagogue for Torah service)
