Join with your progressive leaning neighbors for an afternoon of food, fun and a really short meeting to Put People First.
Please bring a potluck dish to share, perhaps a frisbee or a whiffleball, your appetite, and your ideas for the future of Vermont.
The State party is justifiably proud of their success in 2016, electing Vermont's first Lt. Governor, David Zuckerman who joins Auditor Doug Hoffer, 5 Senators, and 7 Representatives. We'll have a chance to hear what helped bring about those successes at a time when much of the country headed in a very different direction. There will be a time to share what is important to each of us and learn about ways we can help put more progressives in office.
We'll have a very short Town Caucus (from 2:00 until no later than 2:10) to elect 3 Town Officers. No one will twist your arm to fill an office, or even to join the party (which, by the way, is completely free and is a great way to learn about a different way to be a political party).
This is a child-friendly, zero waste, carry-in/carry-out event. Please bring your own plate, utensils, napkins, cup and beverage of your choice.
While the caucus is for Hardwick residents, we see this as an opportunity to network with others nearby. You'll have a chance to meet people who can help to organize a Progressive Caucus in your town.
