William H. Jeffreys, a Harlan J. Smith Centennial Professor Emeritus in Astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin, will discuss the problems discovered after the launch of the Hubble Telescope, how they happened, and how they were fixed; and the wonderful science that has resulted in the ensuing 27 years.
The talk will be at the Town and Country Resort on Mountain Road in Stowe at 1:30 pm. Refreshments are available after the talk.
