Energy, interest, and momentum is building for the March for Our Future, an event to empower youth to be heard and to make change. The idea for this march began last spring in Burlington, and now organizers in 13 states are working on marches and speak outs in their communities. We need to resume planning for our Vermont event, which will take place on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2018 in Montpelier.

Please join us in Burlington at 126 College Street, Suite 400, at 4:00 p.m. next Sunday, September 24. We will be forming planning groups for logistics, publicity, fundraising, permitting/law enforcement, and others.

Please invite youth and their allies to participate in this effort. Organizing and planning is an opportunity for young people to cultivate their leadership skills and strengthen their sense of agency. For all of us, taking action is an antidote to the frustration and intolerance we may feel in the face of regressive policies that affect our youth.
