Bryan Memorial Gallery presents The Legacy Workshop, a three hour participatory workshop to assist artists and their heirs in dealing with the care and placement of their artwork while maximizing its contribution to their family, their community and their artistic legacy. The Legacy Project is based on a three year study about artists’ legacies, initiated by the Jeffersonville, VT non-profit art gallery. Mickey Myers, an artist herself, shares the lessons she has learned from over 30 years of experience in dealing with the estates of many artists. Mary Fillmore, award-winning author and strategic planning strategist, leads with dialogue, conversation and recommendations that prioritize the task of dealing with an artistic legacy. A 40 page, spiral-bound notebook of suggestions, recommendations, tables and charts to assist artists and their heirs in dealing with the contents of an artist's studio is distributed at no charge to the workshop participants.
The Vermont Community Foundation has funded this project since 2014 with an Innovations and Collaboration Grant, making it possible to offer this workshop at no charge.
Presented by Bryan Memorial Gallery, a 501 c (3) art gallery in Jeffersonville, Vermont: There is no charge for this workshop, but advanced registration by September 30 is necessary. To register, call 802-644-5100 or on line at http://www.bryangallery.org/workshops.php
