Greetings Starksboro Residents,
Starksboro Project READ!! is an all volunteer organization that promotes reading in our community. We run a bookwagon that gives away books each week during the summer with a storyteller. We sponsor a new born baby brunch and book dedication each fall for the recently born or adopted children of our town. We sponsor an author visit to Robinson and a Literacy night at the school. We along with the library have a free children's book give away at the food shelf.
We are looking for community members that might be willing to join us for fun in bringing books to children. Sample tasks include baking for events, sorting books, fund raising, transporting books, and greeting parents at the brunch.
Our next meeting is Tuesday September 19 at 3:15 at Robinson School. Signs will be posted at the entrance to lead the way to the room. Busses should be gone from the parking lot by that time or park in the upper lot. If you don't like meetings, you can still participate in our activities.
