Along the Lines, a drawing workshop for beginners

This class if for everyone who wants to learn the basics of drawing. If you feel intimidated by the idea of drawing, or think you cannot draw - you are welcome here! Drawing is all about learning to see - the rest is practice! The class will follow exercises from Betty Edwards' classic book, "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" and some fun practices that Sarah developed and tested that will enhance your seeing eye and drawing hand(s). You will learn the basics of perspective, light and shadow and human anatomy. We will work with a variety of high quality drawing material, so you can decide on your preferences. All together it will be a solid mixture of theory, technique, practice and fun!

…Sarah Spletzer moved from Germany to Vermont. She studied Fine Arts and Dance Therapy in the Netherlands and holds a Dutch degree as a "Professional Artist in the Classroom". She has experience in organizing and executing art projects for the public space and offers private art classes to children and adults. Sarah's artwork has been shown in exhibitions in the Netherlands, Belgium and the U.S.A.
