at the Waterbury Center Green. In recognition of our Town being awarded a grant from the Vermont Urban and Community Forest Caring for Canopy Program there will be a symbolic planting of an apple tree on the Green. There will be other trees planted at a later date in the Green and at Maple Street Cemetery.
The celebration will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Pie, ice cream and other refreshments will be served and hosted by the Waterbury Tree Committee and the Grange Hall Cultural Center. All are welcome to join in the festivities and support the continuing rejuvenation of this historic part of Waterbury Center.
